Graduation and Your Budget

Education savingsIt’s graduation season! If you’re about to take that walk that will lead you into the next chapter of your life, you probably need to be thinking about how to fund that next chapter. Hopefully this isn’t the first time you’re thinking about it, but it may be the first time it’s really felt real.

The first thing to consider is whether or not you’re going to be involved in more schooling. If you’re interested in graduate school of any kind, you need to make sure you’ve budgeted accordingly.

If possible, consider moving in with your parents to reduce housing costs. Try to pay your student debt off quickly, you don’t want that interest to pile up and hurt you later. If you can, try to pay more than the minimum each month.
