Ways to Save on Your Holiday Shopping: Black Friday and Cyber Monday

With Thanksgiving just two days away, the holidays are already upon us! Start your holiday shopping early to save money this year.

Two great days for deals are Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  Here are some tips for both:

  • Plan ahead. Visit the actual store or the online store to scope out what items you want. That way when the hustle and bustle of black Friday arrives you know right where to head. Also, you will not waste time on Cyber Monday seeing which online stores have the items you want.
  • Get up early. Wake up early for Black Friday to take advantage of deals as well as Cyber Monday. Sometimes stores do not offer the deals for the entire day.  And many online stores only offer coupons to the first hundred or so buyers – so know what you want and get it early!
  • Don’t forget coupons! Visit websites like retailmenot.com. They offer coupon codes for your online shopping as well as printable coupons.

Whether you decide to partake in Black Friday or Cyber Monday (or both!) remember that there will most likely be long lines, delayed online checkouts and a lot of hustle and bustle. However, you are being a smart shopper – a great and frugal way to start off the holiday season!!
